Hasn't it gone quick - 35 years ago we opened the first Luigi's Delicatessen - in Parson Green, Fulham, just a mile or so away from our present location. Back then London in the early 1970's was a very different place, if you wanted bad olive oil you went to the chemist and if you wanted good extra virgin olive oil, well you stood no chance.
Thankfully things have changed considerably since those dark days and 35 years on we continue to work hard to bring you the finest quality best tasting food that we can find.
Since the day that we opened our doors we have sought out producers who are the very best at what they do. Over the years some of them may have grown to become well-known premium brands, however we still recognise the benefits and the often higher quality product offered by the smaller producers. Prices may sometimes be a little higher but we continue to believe that our customers can tell the difference between the ordinary and extraordinary.
In 35 years we have come along way and we still have a long way to go. The launch this year of our Mail Order business is just the first of many new ways that we plan to make our food available. Thank you to all our customers past and present and we look forward to seeing you at the deli sometime soon.
